Freezing issues

I've been having freezing problems with this laptop lately. I just got it at the end of July so it shouldn't be doing this. I had posted about a fan issue before and I've done everything suggested and it still happens. I'll be playing world of warcraft and there are times that I'm in the middle of the game and it will freeze and say "not responding" and when I try to exit out of it the whole computer will freeze which makes me have to do a hard shut down. Anyone else having a problem like this and could provide some help?

Hi,

To better assist you, please confirm the model name/revision of your Alienware system. Try running an ePSA/Diagnostics test to check the hardware, click here to view an article that explains how to run the test.

It's a 17 R2. I did the diagnostics and it said nothing was found.

Hi,

When you get the error message about it not responding, is that all the error says? Have you reinstalled the video card drivers? What Bios version are you running with this system?

Yeah it's the usual "this program is not responding" with the "end now" option. I have the latest bios version. I have not reinstalled the video card drivers.

Hi,

Thanks for confirming this. Try reinstalling the video card drivers. Both the Intel and NVidia drivers. Use the Intel driver from the Dell support site, for the NVidia, use the latest version from their website.
