Are you referring to the 2009 M17x-R1? Explain in detail how you upgraded the laptop.

I ment to say that currently the laptop is only running the 9400. yes I believe it is the M17x-R1. currently it is not running the other 2 video cards in it or the fans for the video cards. they were upgraded but by a pc tech. I have had trouble getting the laptop to recognize the cards as well so im having a tough time knowing what drivers i need. any suggestions?

www.dell.com/.../drivers
or go to support page and enter the laptops service tag located on bottom of machine, OR it can be found in bios ..
if I remember correctly from when I had my M17X R1 .. the 9400 drivers were part of the NVidia chipset driver download.

that was tried several times with no success. the 9400 primary card is working just not my other 2 video cards I would not be posting on the forums if my service tag driver scan had worked.
