Help me ! Alienware m17x R4 HDMI Input !
So , I recently bought my new Alienware m17x, the graphic card is Nvidia Geforce Gtx 660 .
I had my Xbox 360 , Ps3 , and Wii U and everything works fine on the Tv, but however I want to play the PS3 on the alienware, but when I pugh the HDMI INput into the HDMI Inout slot, it said "HDMI On" and it automatically switch to the HDMI in. Here's the problems , when I'm in HDMI input mode, the screen is just black and nothing pop out or anything. I also recently upgrade the Nvidia to Ver.306.97
Please help me

oh by the way i've read the forum about usung the registry hack but , it still doesn't work. Maybe I did something I guess

And it was working fine before the driver update?

Try updating the graphics drivers again, but follow the steps in this article to perform a clean install:

It relates to the ps3 I believe. After its connected make sure ps3 is off and hold the ps3's power button for 5-10seconds. You will hear a beep. That resets HDMI settings / resolution. Not sure bout other console but give it a go.

Did you try the video driver update?
Also, try re installing the audio driver. Here's the link for the download:
www.dell.com/.../alienware-m17x-r4
Just like the Video driver, uninstall before updating it.

sorry i havent got a chance to do it yet
I've been busy with study , but I will do it tomorow since it's Friday ^^

It's still doesnt work sadly :(
However I got the sound to work now , maybe this is a good sign.
I wonder if it because I've mess with Registry hack. . .

I think fixing the Audio is a good sign, the next step is to re install the OS, follow the steps in the article below.

It's ok, take as long as you need. Next time you come back, check the following things:
1. If your screen is 3D, make sure you are using an HDMI 1.4b or higher.
2. If your screen is not 3D, make sure you disable the integrated graphics card when trying to connect via HDMI.

Thank you , my Screen is not 3d , but the Nvidia it's self has the thingy call Enable 3d , is that count.
Also how do I disable integrated graphics card? and the last one is do I have to mess with Registry thingy :?
