Looking for some help

Hello everyone this is my first post here and I have a question.  I have an alienware m17x r3 that has completely gone bad recently.  I have purchased a new motherboard, new video card and new memory.  My laptop now starts up to a blackscreen with no beeps.  The screen lights up but nothing happens.  I know my board is fine (tested 100% sure here), memory sticks are good.  I am curious if the video card I bought is not compatible with my system.

Nvidia GTX 765m.

If it is compatible is my laptop not starting up properly because of a power supply issue maybe?

Any thoughts and feedback is more than welcome.  Thanks

Daniel Chandler

Hi!

The GTX 765M is not a supported upgrade for this Alienware model. Even with the 240W AC adapter (largest PSU available for the M17X R3), we can't guarantee the system will perform properly with this video card.

The validated video cards for this system are:

NVIDIA    AMD
GeForce GTX 460M    Radeon 6870M
GeForce GTX 560M    Radeon 6970M
GeForce GTX 580M    Radeon 6990M
