M14x R1 mSATA SSD install
I learned as an Alienware technician replaced my motherboard recently that it contains a mSATA port next to the wireless card. I purchased a crucial M550 SSD and have installed it in that slot. I can not see the drive under disk management to format it to begin to use it. I have also gone into the BIOS and do not see it there or any options to enable the port it is installed into. The purpose of the drive is to keep information separate as I have begun to use it for work. Any help on how to recognize the drive or make it available would be great.

You are not the first to report something like this.
Research if mSata and MiniPCIe use the same socket but are actually electrically different.
