M17X laptop white screen

Hey

Is your laptop screen "on" when u say white? So was black u boot and goes white, sounds to me if this is the case then your laptop screen needs replacing.

U could try this to check this is the case by

Booting into bios changing the graphics to on-board graphics most if not all laptop have on-board and off-board graphic then reboot. even though you will see your bios on external screen

This will check if its your graphics card or your screen then u can change bios back that way you will know what is wrong either your graphics card or the laptop screen itself to be replaced
