New Alienware M17x

Duplicate post, sorry.

Dell has deleted at least 5 of my posts, only one from this thread but a few from another thread.  It is very sad that they would delete a post and tell me i violated the terms revealing sensitive information when I did no such thing.  I am still waiting to hear about when my order will ship, order was placed on June, 19th, 2009 and it says I have a delivery date of July 15th, 2009. 

Still haven't received my laptop, support told me my laptop was shipped to the distribution center and was going to go out for delivery but my order status has not been updated so I really don't believe them.  I am debating if I should cancel my order, I am sick of dealing with dell and being lied to by support.  This is not how you should treat a customer.

I ordered mine on 6-26-09, and now it's in the "boxing" stage 7-11-09

This speaks volumes against the practise of farming out call centers to foreign countries, which is probably where you end up when you call.  They can only go by what their computer tells them.

So on Friday Dell support sent me an email saying my machine had been sent to the Texas distribution center and would be shipped out in 1 - 2 days.  Today I log in check my status to only see my order has been delayed till 8/12/09! I call support and the first person i talk to tells me my machine has been delayed so I demand to talk to a manager, he then tells me the same, I tell him about the email and he looks into it and finds the email and tells me that they should of never told me that.  He then tells me the machine is delayed because they don't have the cpu, but I will get it before 8/12/09 and should expect it on 7/20/09.  I keep complaining and he then tells me the machine is built and is in "testing" .  I just love being lied to by Dell.  This is just ridiculous.  If a senior level management is reading this please contact me!

I had wanted to stop my order and upgrade it and when I called dell about this they told me that the order had been processed and could not be stoped when I just wanted to up date my order? is there anyway that the laptop can be sent back and make how I would like it to be?  I really hate dells support because they won't let me make my order how I would like it to be. I just want to stop it and make changes to it thats all I want to do. im very upset with dell about this they say the are there for the customers and they won't get me what I wanted to change.

I assume you mean the "M17x" as the "m17x" is no longer available for order. To answer your questions...

Alienware® Mesh Cap - Yes (black fitted hat with curved bill and white alien head on front).
Alienware® Mobile Binder - I'm assuming this is the leather owners manual, so yes.
Owner Identification Card - No (unless I missed something).
M17x Protective Cloth Sleeve - Yes (thin, but very nice brushed cotton type material, all black with "alienware" written all over it).
M17x Keyboard Diagram Overlay - Yes (seems more like protective packing material, but it's there).
AlienRespawn v2.0 Recovery DVD – Windows Vista® Edition - Must be ordered and costs extra ($49 for US customers).

Quite possibly the best extra that comes with it is one you didn't list... an Alienware mouse pad. It's a very nice, flexible hard surfice pad that's black with the same image on it that the chrome blue alienhead wallpaper option has.

My unit is still in the boxing stage. esd is 7/24. went into boxing on 7/11

I'm glad to report that my laptop has finally just arrived!!!!  I couldn't believe how heavy it is either just amazing.  And for those wanting to know it did come with the laptop sleeve, the mouse pad, the hat and a leather bound instruction manual!  The keyboard overlay is a stupid piece of paper kinda like wax paper, totally useless, and yes the recovery and drivers discs were included.  I didn't see the owner identification card, I will have to look through the package once I get home, I am after all at work :p  I can't wait to get home and take her for a real test drive.  I'm glad it finally arrived but I will NEVER again order from or buy a Dell product again, I just hope I never have to deal with customer support.  Good luck to all those who are still waiting on theirs.

Man i know you're happy...You should be maxing out Crysis already!!!!

I just found out that mine shipped today dell gave me free two day shipping Im really excited for it. How is the system stock with 1200p? can it run crysis? it looks like a great game. im going to have to go pick it up while im waiting on my M17x to come.

Try to feel better folks.  I have an Alienware Desktop on order and I've only just found out that I could have applied a 7% discount code.....too late unfortunately because this one is in Phase 5.
