New X51 Resource DVD is empty

Yes, the Resource DVD is suppose to contain the main system drivers and applications. What happens when you enter the disk? Does the ODD (Optical Disk Drive) recognize it as the Dell Resource DVD? Have you tried other disks to make sure the ODD is working properly?

The disk is blank.  All other disks I put in drive work correctly.  When I put the resource disk in the drive it reads it correctly but contains no files

I have the same problem.  My new PC arrived last week. It comes with blank resource dvd.

Just enter your service tag and it will display the drivers compatible with your system. We should be able to send out another disk as well. For that request, please send me a PM with your service tag. 

Mine is blank also... and the response that it can be downloaded is not a good one. Say it is the only way for you to restore or something?

i just received my Area 51 yesterday - same empty disc -- you guys are still shipping out the known bad resource disks?  not a big deal, but kinda silly.
