No Bootable device found

I was restoring the computer and when I restarted it came up no Bootable device found. I entered psa diagnosis and tried to run a test but it's now giving me a cpu thermistor exceeds the thermal limit. Not sure where to go from here. I have a alienware r4 computer with 2 ST500 Seagate drives

Do you mean Aurora-R4 desktop?

Yes, an older border-line drive might over-heat and fail during a restore.

I suggest you un-RAID those (if they are Raided together).

Run UEFI-Diags (and Seagate or WD Diags) and remove any bad or failing drives. Drives are cheap.

Clean install Windows and drivers. If Diags pass and Windows works nice ... machine is worth keeping in service, so ...

Install a 240-256gb SSD (or larger) as C: and use the old spinner HDD as D:

Yes the older desktop.

Both my drives have failed slowly over the last couple years. Then it began running extremely slow this last week.

I found my windows install cds unfortunately I lost one though haha.

So I should get a new SSD and a HDD?

Anything else worth upgrading now? It's got the old 2012 parts still.
