Overseas Alienware 14 - New Generation Screen issue
Greetings,
As many have posted some other entries about this, today I had an unfortunate event with my, pretty much brand new (less than a month), Alienware 14 - New Generation laptop. Out of the blue, my screen went black, lights on the keyboard were on, light on the on-off button and the "alienware" label was changing between white and orange, system seemed like running, and there were 8 continuos beeps, followed by a slight pause and then the 8 beeps resumed indefinitely. What could the problem be, and how can I fix it? I've seen lots of comments about 7 beeps, and 4 beeps, but nothing about 8 beeps.
On top of all that, and this is the reason why I opened this ticket, is that even though I have a warranty I'm currently on a short course (4 months) in Germany. What are my options, if my warranty was for the US... because as you would imagine, who would think that in anytime of the first 4 months could the laptop go bananas? I took the warranty for US "assuming" that something could go wrong by 8 or 10 months (which is still nonsense), but during my 1st months... and not even 1 month of having it.
So again, what are my options here? I tried calling, actually had a family member in the US call tech support, and they told them that the issue could be fixed in one month, that I have to upgrade to an international warranty and then contact German DELL. One month??? I know it's no strollin' around the park to fix some things, but one month? And what about my MA which starts next week?
Any information on this issue, special one due to the Overseas part, would be of great help and very appreciated.
Best regards,
Yanis Diaz

Hello Yanis84!
Definitely we will be able to fix the computer for you, you just need to transfer the warranty to Germany filling out this form, it might take the most 15 days in order to be completed and then you can call technical support so they can help to fix the problem.
The 8 beep code is an issue with the LCD.
