R5 RAM Upgrade
My R5 came with 8 GB of RAM. I'm replacing it today with 16. I was going to get the 2133 that it currently has, but see 2400 is only a few $ more. Can my R5 use that? Would there be any significant difference? My processor is the I7-6700, if that matters.

Between the 2 I highly doubt you will notice the difference really.

Your non-K i7 will only run the 2400MHz DDR4 at 2133MHz. So just grab that one.

I ended up getting the 2400. It was only $5 more. Installed and everything working fine. Thanks for the input.

Update- not working fine. Continually crashing and restarting or freezing up requiring a hard restart. I installed PNY Anarchy 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400 # MD16GK2D4240015AB
Coincidentally, on restart after installation, Windows 10 did a major update. Thought that may have been the problem, so I rolled it back, but problem still occurring. All system memory tests show its working fine. Going to pop original RAM back in to see if that resolves the issues.

Put the original RAM back in and it running great again. Asked Best Buy about it and they said it was likely a compatibility issue and that PNY RAM is junk
