Receiving an error message with Thermal Controls

I keep receiving this error message when going in to Thermal Controls.

I have an Alienware Area 51 desktop and I've had the video card overheat constantly since the day I bought it, Alienware support hasn't been able to fix it yet, even though it's been replaced and the software has been reinstalled countless many times.

The error is coming up more often than ever now, I was hoping someone could tell me what it means.

I went through that with my Area 51 ALX.  I also had problems with the automatic door not opening or closing and when booting from off it would take two tries of the fans ramping up and down before I would get the Bios screen.  If any of this is happening to you it is the I/O board that has to be replaced.  Fixed mine.  The I/O board must have 20 cables that attach to it for almost everything.  So it is real important that if they replace it they double and triple check it for all cables.  Missed one of mine for a sensor and had to reopen it and hunt for it.  Found it and fixed that problem.  Also if you have ATI graphic cards with the bridge between them have the repair guy be very careful removing the bridge as mine got torn.

Thanks. I'll try and get in touch with Dell.

I'm definitely not using Alienware again as I have had a countless number of issues with this highly priced system over the few months I've had it.

Alienware support told me to fully and complicatedly reinstall my control panel. It's helped so far, my vents are responding better. I will post again if this is not a fix.

I have this problem occasionally with an Aurora ALX. Local Dell support said to roll back my sysyem to a previous restore point. Hardly a solution. If it's a software issue, I would prefer to re-install.

I have the same issue. My fans blast everytime I start the computer and I have to either restart or wait about 10min for them to go down. My graphics card gives me problems while I play games and I'm having them replace it since I bought this computer 3 months ago! Yet the graphics card is on delay "since they only purchase them for computers not replacements", customer support said. I'm supprised that a computer like this came with issue right out of the box, it's way to expensive to have issues. Anyways, I'm still under waranty (bought it 3 months ago!) Maybe they can help? Though I doubt they even care, afterall I bought the computer = they win.

Same here. Hasn't happened again since disabled Crossfire.
