have you checked to see if   its oil from hands.. try cleaning the screen, my M18X screen use to touch keyboard and everytime I opened it  up it had similar looking marks on screen..(just a thought)

also have you tried running a colour test to see if it appears.

  1. okay is this the newer M18? or the older M18X  sound slike the M18(newer model)

Older m18X is FN+F7  and newer M18 is switch to the integrated GPU by pressing FN+F5 and restarting the notebook.)

yea the new M18 is  being thought as the M18X R3 ..... or  new m18X ..  many names but  its a bit different

if you go to device manager can you tell me what it says under display adapters?

what this does is switches it to either onboard or discrete  directly,  so if  you game it might not  have good graphics  if  on onboard video,  but  this does determine  its either the graphics drivers or the videocard   itself not  the screen ...

so since issue dosent recreate with a different video  its safe to say the screen is fine.

Issue is either the Video Card Or The Drivers, have you tried Cleaning drivers out with a driver cleaner and reinstalling ?  this would rule out if driver is issue(would have to FN+F5 and restart again before this is done)
