Thermal Controller Sensors
Hello,
The Ambient Sensors in the Thermal Controller seem to be locked at 32 C all the time. One of the sensors is linked to the PCI Fan and the other to the HDD fan. What could be wrong here?
It's been this way since purchase and I'm not very bothered by it.

Look for my posts in this thread:

So, if the sensors are on the fans, and the fans are always pulling in cool air and blowing on the sensors, the temp will always be about the same. You could point a hair-dryer at them and see if they read higher.

Ah, I see. Thank you. It seems it's hardly useful, if at all; and pointless? Lol. The custom fan speed curves work fine, though. No issues there. I guess I'll test the sensors out someday.

Ya, well ...
It would have to get pretty hot around the video card for the PCIe fan to speed up. Maybe if your home AC breaks down?
But large fast HDDs and SSDs do get pretty hot ... so if you put 4 in there, it should automatically compensate. That for the aurora ... not sure how that works on an Area-51.

My HDDs DO run fairly hot. They're always running at atleast 45-55C and much higher when I'm working. The Caviar Black runs 5-10C hotter than my SSDs, I always thought it would be the other way around. =P Probably because the SSDs are in positions with better airflow.

Hi Crownby,
Stuck at 32C - Not in my case on my Area 51 ALX as you see below. Although I have seen it sometimes showing Zero then back to the nourmal temp. Snip taken after PC has been running (no gaming) for 6 1/2 hours although no gaming to heat it up. They usuall start at aroun19 or 21 most likely depending on room temarature.
