Upgraded X51 R2 Graphics Card Issue? Low Frames Per Second
So i purchased a PNY GTX 960, as i was reccomended it by alienware fourms. I have an alienware x51 R2, originally i had the 240watt power supply with the GTX 645 OEM, and i decided to upgrade to the 960 as it was a much better card than what i had. So i purchased the 960 and a new 330watt powersupply, once again alienware fourms said it would work perfectly, however after removeing the 645, and changing the 960 into it, it seems to be even worse performance for games than the 645. All of my games are at a much worse fps,
The main game i play is runescape, yes i know terrible game but i enjoy it, and when i do large scale bosses my fps was not always the best but was noramlly 50 fps with the 645 (50 is the max for runescape), with the ocassianly few freames dropped when something big happened but now it seems that im playing on 30 fps with a much better card. I tried other games like ARMA 3 and gta 5 and it seems that the fps is still worse on all of the games.
Why is this happening, It's quite a disappointment if there is an issue with the card because I waited for quite a while for this card and I was very excited to set it up but now im not sure what's wrong with it.
So in conclusion, why is this happening and what are the possible fixes?
P.S. I understand that this might be a nvidia fourms issue but i was just wondering whether or not anyone here could help me out
Thanks in Advance

Prime95 is for CPU, not GPU.
And you can get the trial version of 3Dmark. It should have benchmarks available to use.

I'm 100% sure im using the right card as if i go to DXDIAG it shows that the display is using the 960
I connected the pin connecter (6pin) to the card, however 1 of 2 connecters are left straggling as it seems the card only has 1, 6 pin plug in it.
The exact card which i got is this one :
PNY VCGGTX9602XPB GeForce GTX 960 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 XLR8 Graphics Card
I have not yet checked the temps of the 960, im not quite sure how to do it, is there a suggested program for it?

Are you sure you aren't using the onboard graphics? And you did connect the pin connector to the GTX 960, yes?
What are the temps of the GTX 960? If it's too high, then there may be something in the way of the fan.

1. Install the Newest Drivers?
2 Run. Enhanced Pre-Boot System Diagnostics (ePSA)?
3. Run Dell Online diagnostics?
4. Is AlienAutopsy Dell SupportAssist installed?

Well, I kind of meant is the HDMI cable plugged to the GTX 960 and not the onboard graphics / top HDMI.
Can you run a benchmark. 3DMark in particular? If the scores are low, I would return/RMA the 960.

So sorry for the late reply but i was busy with family,
yes i have installed the newest drivers
i ran the enhanced preboot system and nothing was wrong according to it
i ran dell online diag and nothing was wrong
and supportassist is installed and still said nothing was wrong
however im 100% sure the card shouldn't be running as poorly as it is thus im quite sure something is wrong

Yes the hdmi is plugged directly into the gtx 960
and ill do the bench mark right now but unfortuneatly i cant use the 3dmark since its 30 dollars to purchase it, and i dont feel its worth it for one time use, im going to use a software called prime95 to test it
ill post the results once its done

This was the final results, im not quite sure whether or not it is good
sry for not being able to use 3dmark - this was for "benchmarking multiple workers to measure the impact of memory bandwidth"

Report back when it does start to screw up.
That score is low. Here's a benchmark with my desktop + GTX 960 (overclocked, but it should be a good enough reference).
