Let me re-phrase  my question then ;) When will all the USB ports in Alienware PCs be USB 3.0?

Need as many as I can get, but particularly the front panel USB, since this is where I plug portable HDDs in. Does the Area 51 have those USB 3.0 ports? I know my Aurora ALX doesn't.

The current Area-51 is still running with an X58 chipset which has no USB 3.0 option. Last time I checked the Area-51 config page, Dell was still offering a USB 3.0 controller card for free.

That's what I thought, but I want built-in USB 3.0 support, especially for the front USB ports.

I understand and would definitely want the same thing. I was also a little frustrated that the Area-51 had no SATA 3 options either. Again, because of it only having an X58 option. To be fair though, the Aurora R3 only currently has a SSD SATA 2 option. Why I dont know, since it has SATA 3 support and has SATA 3 mechanical HDD options..I guess it doesn't matter that much because a SATA 2 SSD will still run circles around a SATA 3 mechanical HDD.
