Windows 8.1 Pro Update failed in Alienware 14

Encountered the following issue in Alienware 14 while upgrading to Windows 8.1Pro

Purchased the system on aug-2013.

1. Reset my system to original factory settings using windows restore. It was successfully restored to Windows8 Pro

2. Updated all drivers from Dell recommendations

3. Updated windows via automatic updates and ensured there are not updates left.

4. Tried installing in the windows 8.1 pro - fails with errorcode 0x80004005.

Investigating into the error they point to windows unable to access the system recovery partition - which in alienware is a secured location.
