X15 questions

Hi peeps,

I'm interested in getting an X51 for a home theatre/gaming set-up but don't want it to have certain audio related issues that afflict my current device- a Dell XPS15 L501x laptop. The problems specifically are:

It will not bitstream HD audio (like DTS-HD Master Audio) to my Sony amp. Standard DTS bitstreams no problem to the amp and my standalone Sony blu-ray player will bitstream DTS-HD to the amp no problem. It's just the XPS15 that refuses to  do this.

This brings up another issue as it forces me to get the media player to decode the DTS-HD to PCM uncompressed before being sent to the amp. I have a 7.1 speaker set-up and the XPS15 audio driver swaps the surround and surround back speaker channels. The only way to get the surround coming out of the correct speakers is to set the driver to 5.1 not 7.1

Does anyone here have an X15 in a home theatre set-up and know if it suffers from the same problems?

Also does anyone know how noisy the fans are? Noisy enough to be audible over a film? Comparable to the noise of recent xbox 360 units or louder?
