X51 R2 Bios update...

To correct noise issue and install Windows 10, i have to update from bios A07 to A10. Will this change performances and/or create issues? Does the boot screen will change/become différent?

The only noise issues BIOS updates ever "fix" are usually just tweaks to the fan profiles. (Any other noises though probably won't go away because of the BIOS though)...I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but yes at least for Win10, there are some enhancements this supposedly makes. I still run Win7 on my X51s, so don't know how much trouble this actually saves...

I went from A08->A10 and A10 automatically changed my boot option from RAID->AHCI (or vice versa, I don't remember now, and I'm not near the computer to check)

Regardless, switching this value does stop the computer from booting. It's an easy change back, but be warned to double check these settings are however you want them as it changes the values without asking/warning.

There's a thread on reddit that's done some good analysis on the topic, but practically speaking, if you don't know the difference, then realistically there will be no difference for you. (RAID won't let you install linux; AHCI actually allows for the specific SSD controller to be installed for windows (vs a generic, but effective windows driver), speed difference is effectively none.)

Otherwise, I believe A10 brings you a new boot logo (in line with their "new" Alienware font) as well IIRC, enjoy.
