X51 won't 'Go Light'
I'm having a problem with my X51. I selected 'Go Dark' from the tray but now I can't turn the lights back on. When I right click the icon in the tray and select 'Go Light' the computer does nothing and the icon disappears (even when I have the Command Centre open). I've tried running the AlienFX tester but even that doesn't turn the lights on.
I've had this problem before however, last time I didn't tell it to Go Dark.Last time I turned my computer off in frustration and when I restarted it the next day it had fixed itself but the lighting wasn't quite right. It would forget my effects and choose the default settings.
I've had this computer less than a month and while the lights are cool they were not the selling point for me. However in saying that - they are part of the computer and they should work. The fact that they don't concerns me making me think that they are a symptom of an underlying problem.
Any help I can get would be great. Thanks :)

Hi,
On that little menu where you get the "Go Dark" option, do you also see an option that says "Dim Lighting Zones"? If so, click on it and confirm if the lights turn on again.

There is no option that says 'Dim Lighting Zone'. The menu looks like this:
- Alienware AlienFX Editor
- Go Light
- Quick change (greyed out)
- Enable Inactivity Timer (greyed out)
- Enable 3rd Party AlienFX Access (greyed out)
- Exit

Hi,
Try reinstalling the Alienware Command Center application. Click here for the download link. Uninstall it first from the Programs and Features list, then restart the system and install it again. After doing this, test the lights to confirm if they respond.
