4600 will not turn on
I shutdown my PC on 11/24/04 by going to start and then shutdown. I go to turn my PC on today, 11/27/04, and nothing happens, no POST, no lights, nothing! I tried all the listed troubleshooting tips of trying a different outlet, reseating the power cable, trying a different power cable, resetting my surge protector, etc with no luck. I do not think there was a power surge of any sort because everything else connected to that surge protector is in perfect working order. I also do not think it is the power supply because there is a small green LED that is located at the bottom of the mobo that turns off when I unplug the power to the PC and turns on when I plug the power cord in. Could it be the on/off switch? All the cables and connectors seem to be seated properly inside the case. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!

thank you very much for giving me the link to the thread that already existed regarding this issue. I read through the thread and came to the conclusion, like so many others, that it was the power supply. I went to my local Micro Center store this morning and purchased a brand new 600w power supply and it is now working like a champ. turns out, I didn't realize that my Dell only came with 250w supply and I have added more RAM, an additional hard drive and optical drive as well as a higher end graphics card. frankly, I am surprised it last this long. thanks again for your assistance and direction.
