64-bit VS 128-bit

Question

I am looking at two different graphics cards with the intent of possibly making a purchase.   The first card is the HIS x1550: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161074 It has a 550MHz core clock and a 800MHz memory clock, but is only 64-bit   The second card is the Diamond x1550: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103031 It has a 450MHz core clock and a 520MHz memory clock, but it is 128-bit   I am tempted to say that even though the Diamond has lower clock frequencies, the fact that it has double the memory bandwidth will make it faster.  What do you guys think?   How much difference is there between the 64-bit and 128-bit cards?

How much difference is there between the 64-bit and 128-bit cards?

I would tend to agree but it probably is close to a "wash".

More importantly the x1550 is not a very good performer anyway.

What are you trying to accomplish? We may be able to offer better selections in a good price range.

My computer is a Dimension 3000 and only has PCI expansion bus available. I am looking for the fastest PCI card I can find. One thing that is also confusing me about the two cards is that the HIS x1550 has been reported by some users to have a 400MHz memory clock in Catalyst with an effective memory clock of 800MHz. Is this the same situation for the Diamond? Does the Diamond have a 260MHz memory clock which is effectively 520MHz, or does it have a 520MHz memory clock which is effectively 1040MHz?

I found some Sparkle GeForce 8500GT 256MB DDR2 PCI (not express!!!) cards online, but they won't ship to U.S. Drivers for these cards would seem to be a problem anyways, but they did have the drivers available at the sparkle.com.tw website,

I upgraded...   I bought a new computer! Abit motherboard Antec case and power supply OCZ Memory Dual Core Processor 8800 Video Card Sata Hard drive   SWEET!
