8250 a good machine???/and Memory

Hi I just wanted to know if I did make a good purchase on the 8250 and if I should reinstall the Operating System XP cleanly just to make it run faster...   What  about the RDRAM vs the SDRAM which is actually better for the computer...  I have 512 MB RD RAM and a 2.4 Processor Pentium 4....    I noticed newer machines are carrying the SDRAM again.. was the RDRAM a bad purchase then?

RDRAM is a very good ram it's just expensive. To make your computer run better use a utility like diskeeper to defrag your HDD regularly. Also use an ad removing software like adaware or spybot search & destroy.

Seth, you say you notice computers have gone back to using sdram. Actually they are using a different type of ram called DDR.   Which you will sometimes see call sdram-ddr. It is not the same as the old pc66, pc100 and pc133 we used to use.
