Adobe Flash Player "Failed to initialize" Problem
I am running XP Pro SP3 on a Dell Dimension 4550 desktop, I cannot get Adobe flash player to install and cannot view a video in any of the browsers. I tried the usual steps, download the Flash player uninstaller, uninstall, remove all files from the FLASH folder e.t.c and doesn't work, is there any other option to watch youtube videos please?

The File Size is 0 bytes and therefore the file is corrupt or not downloading at all. Malware, firewall, or some other DOWNLOAD issue is the problem.
I have noticed Vista and 7 with Extreme issues with download corruption where it says the file is downloaded and it doesnt work at all SPECIFICALLY .EXE and ZIP files.
Only happens a lot on systems with AMD instead of INTEL processor and only on Vista/7/8
DOES NOT Happen on the same machine with XP.
Go to another machine and download the full file almost 100 megs to a flash drive and extract then.

Manual Install.
(Released 4/9/2013)
Flash Player 10.3.183.75 (61.21 MB)
And Firefox.
Firefox 3.6.28 and Firefox 12 are the last versions of Firefox that will work with the original version of Windows XP and Windows XP Service Pack 1. They won't be updated with security and stability fixes. To keep your computer and personal information safe, we recommend that you upgrade for free to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and install the latest Firefox. This article goes over your upgrade options.
For older versions of Windows XP, Service Pack 3 is a free upgrade from Microsoft. Installing this upgrade is the most secure option and will allow you to run the latest and greatest Firefox.
There are 2 files that you must install one is AX for IE and one is WIN for firefox.
flashplayer_10_3r183_75_winax.exe This one is for IE8
flashplayer_10_3r183_75_win.exe This one is for Firefox
They are in a zip archive and must be extracted.
Neither IE or Firefox should be OPEN when installing.

When I search the net for the FF version 3.6.28 and download it, the downloaded file shows FF 20.0.1 which is the version I already have?

If you are getting adobe failed to initialize the go to google and search for adobe application manager download and run the install. Then after installed run the install for the program that gave you error. Problem solved.
