AGP Graphics Cards Memory

Question

Hi all   I was thinking of buying an ATI Radeon 9200 AGP graphics card with 128MB DDR. Would buying a graphics card with 256 MB DDR instead make much of a difference. I don't really play games, I'm just looking for a cost effective card that is pretty good. I read that AGP is a better choice over PCI, but does it make a huge difference? Yes, an AGP card is much better than a regular PCI card. The 9200 is not a very good card and is one of the lowest performing AGP cards.

The amount of video memory means nothing. The processor on the graphics card does most of the work. Some video cards with only 128mb of memory would vastly outperform those with 256mb.

If you don't do any gaming, there may be no reason to upgrade at all. For general use and normal 32 million color display, a video card only needs 4 mb of memory.

JAXX is right, u might not need upgrade if your not a big gamer....btw 128mb and 256 you will notice a diffrence with more graphically intense games and in higher end PCI-E and AGP cards. Not really in the graphics but in the game play....choppyness etc.

oh and that card s*cks for AGP......think of it this way....your wanting to buy a Radeon 9200 AGP card...and im running a Radeon 9250 PCI card......think about it....My pci is a higher grade then your agp.....
