analog video......how do i?
I have a 8200 running WinXP. I would like to input some video from my analog camcorder to edit and burn to CD. I've never attempted this before so it's obvious that I'm stuck. How do I tell if I have the correct hardware? TIA for any info/tips/guidance/kicks in the pants proffered.

After doing a bit of research I've noted some comments that I could transfer analog video by making use of my video card, an NVIDIA GEForce 4 Ti4600. I've checked the back of the computer for any VIVO connections and don't see anything that could match up with my analog camcorder. Might be time to badger Dell on the telephone. Thanks for your information.

In practically all cases, the video boards may have TV out (usually an S-Video connector) but no Video In. As stated before, you need an additional device to have video in.
