ATI3650 Question
I recently got the Insprison 530 w/ the ATI3650HD card.
There are 3 ports on the back. 1 DVI, 1 HDMI and in between the 2 is another port I cannot identify. Sort of looks like the HDMI port, but somewhat different.
Anyone have any idea?

Hi ParkNuts, Had a look for that card and could not find it. The only cards i found came with 2 DVI portd and an 'S' Vidio port ( Thats the round one). ATI do give you an DVI/HDMI adapter. The S Vidio port is handy if you want to use your VHS tape.

I thought it was most likely to be TV Out/S-Video connection myself, but they're not usually shaped like a HDMI port? They're usually round?
The only thing I can think of which has any resemblance whatsoever to the shape of a HDMI connection, is a USB port :emotion-55:
But they're only found on motherboards of course, and the only type of connection graphics cards have is for video output, so it has to be the TV Out connection?

Thanks for the input, guys.
I should mention that the retail version of the 3650 has 2 DVI ports and an SVideo.
The one dell uses is different for some reason and calling Dell tech support got me no answers.
Maybe a partial diagram would help.
Can't get the diagram right, but the sides of an HDMI port both slant inward at the top.
This unknown port only slants inward on one side. The other side is a right angle.

As it turns out, yes and no.
They told me it was a display port, but could give me no info on it.
An accidental finding earlier today got me my answer.
It is a display port...and that's actually what it's called "DisplayPort".
Supposed to be HDMI for computers.
Developed a few years ago, but HDMI got popular in the meantime.
