Audio Driver for Optiplex 320
System:
Dell Optiplex 320
Windows XP
Hi,
I have tried to install the Audio Driver (ADI 198x Integrated HD Audio (file name: R129514.exe ) which was recommended by the 'Support' sector of this site after I entered my Service Tag. Yet, it doesn't work. Neither by clicking on the .exe file (The installation process starts, but after rebooting the computer, the sound still wouldn't work and the (!) sign in the device manager still appears) nor by installing it manually with the driver update in the device manager. Please help!

What was the original problem that you needed to install the sound driver? Was the sound not working? Did you do a new XP reinstall?
If you did a reinstall did you install the SM Bus driver first?
