Auto internet connection
When I log in to windows sometimes it tries to connect to the internet straight away before putting any icons etc. on the screen. Unless I am quick to cancel, Explorer will hang and I am left having to restart.
Any ideas on the cause and possible solution gratefully received.

More info would be nice but I'll take a guess.
If you have IE go to tools-internet options-connections tab and check "never dial a connection". Apply- o.k. your way out. Reboot if prompted.
