Have you tried any of the standard fixes yet?

1:  Upgrade your directx files from microsoft to the latest availible.
2:  Check with Nvidia to make sure your running the latest drivers for your graphics card
3:  Do you have windows updates enabled?  try seeing if their are any updates for the O/S
4:  Go to the games website and download any patches they have, this may well be an already known issue with the game.

If the above doesnt work, something else you might try is reverting back temporarily to the onboard graphics memory and then running the game to see if that same error is occuring.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I do have all of the latest drivers and I am currently using an Omega driver for the video card.  I am starting to think the problem maybe a bigger issue than I thought.  I am unable to get into safe-mode and the windows repair option is not working.  I may just scratch everything and start over.  There is a cap over the on-board video plug on the back of the machine.  If I turn on the video again, can I just remove the cap and plug in my moniter?  Should I also remove my AGP card if using the built in graphics?
