best printers?????

Question

i am looking for an office monochrome lazer printer that can   print 15-20 ppm (speed is an issue, the faster the better) has perfect text printing loads envelopes. bells and whistles unnecessary.  this is all we do. 10,000pp per month   the above is the object rather than price.   anyone have a similar printer they are very happy with-- as a recommendation??? thanks. feb, kcmo

I would go with a 'commerical grade'  HP laser printer.  They will perform for what you want and will last.  Support and supplies seems to be better for HP than some other brands.  Initial cost may be more than some other brands but it's worth it. I used to be the midwest network manager (in KCMO) for a large government agency and we found the HP's were the only things that really held up in our offices.

ricoh is a good brand has some of the best copy/printing technology

but i think cost is also important as the best laser printer might cost more and the ink may too

note they make all their money from the ink so don't be conned into thinking otherwise

thanks for your replies.  ill look at the ricoh website.  after all the good hp printers--i have one now--expected better endorsements of hp in the reviews which seem to indicate that hp hardly is above also making very mediocre machines.  but, have to say my hp lazer jet 2100 continues to blaze on without ever a single problem in 4 years.

There is no comparison in the construction quality of the older HP LaserJets and the new ones. There's very little reason to choose HP over one of the others (Dell, Samsung, Epson, etc.) any longer.
