Bios can't find Bluetooth keyboard
XPS 420, bluetooth keyboard and mouse, Vista
During tech assist on other problems I was unable to get into safe mode. Turned out the bios was not seeing the keyboard. Can now only connect the keyboard after getting into Vista. Does anyone know the procedure for getting a bluetooth keyboard reconnected so that bios knows about it? I tried several methods under guidance of the Dell tech and was not successful. I don't have a wired keyboard with USB interface.

If it uses a USB connection, try a different USB port on rear of the tower. Typically only 1 USB port is active before Windows loads USB drivers.
