BIOS/CPU Speed Normal or Compatible ??

Hi, I have a Dimension 1100 and in the BIOS setup you have CPU Speed with a choice of Normal or Compatible. My queston is, what's the difference and what does it do?

If you look at my other posts you will see my problem.

Thanks

Normal Mode is for every day use of the system with the Windows operating system.

Compatibility Mode allows the system to run older operating systems such as MS-DOS.  If compatibility mode is used with Windows, the system will be as slow as molasses in the way it functions.
