blinking amber light

I have a desktop dimension 4700.  The power light is blinking amber and the monitor also has an amber light.  I have put in a new motherboard, power supply, and processor and I still get a blinking amber light with no power going to the system.  there is no fan, no power.  When I have initially put these things in, the computer does power up for 4 or 5 minutes but then shuts down again and starts blinking amber.  Any ideas? I am in desperate need of help.

Blinking Amber means it doesnt like your "new" power supply.

Your NEW is DEAD.

What was the make and model of the power supply you installed?

I am having the same problem.  I unplug the desktop for about 1-2 hours and try again and then it works normally.  A friend told me to defragmentate the disk.  I did that and it worked fine for a couple of days.
