Boot failure at checkpoint [Shut]
My computer initially returned a message about it failing to boot multiple times at checkpoint [Shut]. However a cold boot seemed to solve the issue. The system has been on a week straight prior to the error message, but everything seems to be fine, as I am back in the OS, and no data seems to have been corrupted, at least at first glance.
I would like to know what causes a failure at that checkpoint. When I tried to research the issue myself, I came across a page through Dell's search (tinyURL'd: http://tinyurl.com/39bxq3), which told me that I did not have enough 'privilege' to view the content.
Currently, I am running a Dimension 8100, Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 with 512 MB physical ram. Any assistance with deciphering this confusing checkpoint conundrum would be greatly appreciated
