broken 470
New to the forums so hi:emotion-2:
After numerous problems with my 470 playing up i have accepted defeat and decided to get a second hand workstation off e-bay
i can see i can get a 690 for around £200 question is will my memory from the 470 be able to be used on it and how much can the 690 handle?
i have 2x 2gb and 2x1gb fitted in the 470 and a spare 2gb stick.
my intention is to run windows 7 64 bit on it
or do i just buy a new motherboard for the dell 470 (can get one for about £40)
thanks

Yes, those models use the same RAM. Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot on the 470, and 4GB on the 690.
