Can This Work

OK  can this 3D Fuzion Geforce FX5500 256MB 128-bit DDR PCI Video Card  work with DirectX 7.0 because that is one of the Requirements to play Counter-Strike:Source and thats the mean reason I'm getting an upgrade on my video card I dont want to wast money on it. soooooo if anyone is a hardcord CS player and knows what they are talking about please help me!!!!!!!!!!

While I can appreciate the fact that you have looked into the specifics for the game you wish to play, I would *seriously* caution you to look for a video card supporting DirectX 9.0c . DirectX 7.0 is very dated.

If you are hardcore then the 5500 is a waste of money. Consider the GeForce 6600GT at a minimum.

Yeah, what system do you have? The only reason to consider a Geforce 5500 is if you don't have an AGP or PCIe port.

Yeah I got a D 3000 and this guy said i need a PCI port one and now your tellin me that it isnt goin to work as good as the one i got now is that an upgrade or a downgrade or the same?????

A Geforce 5500 is much higher end than the Intel video you're presumably using now-but it's still extremly outdated. I can't find any system requirements for Counter Strike: Source, but I'd assume that card will run it, but at fairly low settings.
