Can't Access RAID Configuration on Precision T3500
I'm trying to setup a RAID array on a Precision T3500 desktop. In the BIOS under disk drives we are already using the "RAID ON" setting.
During post a screen comes up saying something about the Intel RAID controller. It doesn't tell me what key combinations need to be used to configure RAID. I've tried Ctrl+I (that's i as in Indian) and it doesn't do anything, doesn't seem to recognize my commands, just goes on booting into Windows.
Dell Support had to replace the motherboard on this machine because of crashes (that's over a year ago). I'm hoping we didn't get a motherboard that has the RAID option disabled. I do think it's possible for the Mfg. to disable RAID because I've noticed that all of the Optiplex 9010's have it disabled except the Minitower form factors. That makes me think that maybe somehow RAID is disabled on this T3500 too.
I have installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. It detects the drives and the RAID controller but doesn't appear to give me any options to configure a RAID array.
Does anybody know if I'm missing some step(s) to enabled RAID on this Precision T3500?

No that thread doesn't help at all. That user did have access to the RAID config, the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. I don't see any way to get in there on the system I'm working on.

I ran into the same problem - I don't think the "CNTRL-I" option appears until you have at least two drives installed.
Make sure you can see all drives in the bios setup, and make sure SATA mode is "Raid On"

I have 235 of these and had some problems with a few but here is what I did.
updated the bios to version 17
removed the battery form the motherboard and reset it
boot system go to bios settings set your date and time
in Drive area set it to Raid on
reboot, when prompted hold Ctr and hit I and this will bet to you setup.

I have about 234 of these machines bought them in 2009
Best way it worked for me was to first update Bios to 17 then turn off the system, and remove motherboard battery.
reinstall the battery and reboot, hit F2 to go to setup and set your time and date and then under Drive make sure Raid is set to ON. Make sure you have two hard drives attached and bios recognize them
reboot the machine when prompted quickly hold Ctrl and hit I
it will take you to raid controller setting
