Cant Get Help

How come evertime I try to call the dell support telephone number a foreigner answers the phone and seems to be reading right out of a book?  Plain and simple... my computer doesn't work like it should and Dell won't help me !!!  Had I went to a computer store like I always have in the past I think I could get the help I need.  I could also speak the language the guy in the store spoke.  Ill tell ya this much.  My brother in law was about to buy 23 Dells for his buisness,  I think hes about to reconsider.  Not a single cent of mine will EVER go to anything with the words DELL on it.

I apologize for the problems you are having. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of Dell service, I would recommend posting your concerns within one of the Customer Care forums.

Are you having a problem with a particular external peripheral? Is it a Dell peripheral or a third-party peripheral? If the peripheral is not a Dell peripheral, have you contacted the original manufacturer for additional troubleshooting steps?

I totally agree with you. Dell Support should be renamed Liability.

I had a small problem- no sound from speakers. The moronic person at the other end decided to make me do lots of wrong tests... I since found out. He didn't have a clue what to do, kept putting me on hold and then telling me daft things.

I ended up with my system crashing and his recommendation was that I reinstall Windows.. GREAT.. just what i wanted. Friday evening I can't start windows and they tell me to wait till monday.

Rewind to one year ago same problem with speakers and the same set of things only it took two full days on the phone to reinstall my windows and the drives, devices etc...

So with dell lightening does strike twice.

I was infuriated with repeating myself to this man and always told 'no problem' they seem unable to resolve anything and have very limited knowledge. Plus the fact their phones keeping cutting off so you don't know if they've heard you though they have. Their attitude, accent and overall lack of knowledge has left me twice stranded. I will never recommend Dell again.

Their service rating has dropped and will continue because this outsourcing to India is a nonsense. But it costs the customer in phone calls so i guess dell doesn't care.

Thanx for agreeing with me.  My problem has got to be fixable.  Its an almost brand new Sony Cyber Shot and works on my laptop ( of a better brand ) just fine.  Like you said, Im always being put on hold and they havnt a clue as to whats wrong.  But hey, you get what you pay for !!  When you take jobs from Americans and pay a foreigner peanuts to give 1/2 rate quality..... this IS what happens ;)  As for my brother in law.  He just ditched a small fortune contract with Dell for his small buisness.  No biggi to big corporate buiz like them..... they save their cash by hiring non-english speakers.  Thanks for all the excellent help Dell!!

Isn't it interesting then that Dell has redirected support calls to USA for its Large Corporate clients. The complaints they were having spurred this action.

I guess the rest of us just have to suffer.
