Case Defect (Studio XPS 9000)

For the second time, the desktop case I received is heavily damaged on arrival: the plastic on the side, top and front of the computer is partially melted. The first time, I called Dell customer support (In French) and they accepted to send me a new machine. I received the machine a couple of days back and the case is damaged again: the plastic on the side, top and front of the computer is partially melted. The customer service told me that it happens regularly. It is hard to believe...

I tried to fix that issue over the phone with one of your French speaking customer service representatives and I am very disappointed. They barely speak French, are rude and make no efforts to find a solution to my problem. I am not fluent in English but I decided to make an extra effort to communicate with you via email.

I would like the case to be fixed by a Technician who will come at home. I am not interested in sending the machine back again and wait for it (I already did it and I am in the same situation – damaged case). Can we arrange that?

Thanks for your help,
Maxime Gagne

The forum is user to user, not user to Dell and the forum members cannot help with your case replacement problem, you need to contact Dell directly.

While I can understand your frustration, I doubt that Dell will have a Techie go to your residence, to replace a damaged case.
