Case wont come off

K when you need to open your pc, the left side of the case you can click off very simple, that worked.
Now the right side you gotta slide off, that wont work it wont come off, the rightside is kinda "stuck"
Does anyone know a link how to do this or maybe you experienced it before??
It is for installing a cd writer, and the pc is a dell dimension.

Thanks for the help.

hmmmmmmmmmmm at our pc is when you open the left side you can look in the pc, and when u try to open the right side you see a metal plate, you can only see in the pc from left, but the right side has to come of so we can get the screws in.
And do you guys know how to get that little plate lose where the cd writer has to come???

It would help to know which model of Dimension you have, i.e., XPST, 4100, 8100, etc. That information should always be included in your first post, as well as your OS version.

Go here, here, and here. You only need to pull one side cover to do what you want to do.

it's a big misunderstanding. If you have a case like an 8100, with a button that releases the latches on the left side, just tip the computer to it's side (probably to the right) and you should hear a tiny click. Then you can open it from there.
