Cassette Player to computer
I have music on an archaic media ( cassettes, yeah, those) that I would like to add to my computer. I have a Dell 4700 with the optional sound card. The connection instruction was to use the blue connector. All well and good. Now what? I don't know what to activate to view the recording. In Win Media Player, pop in the CD, click on Rip and away it goes. I know I am getting signal from the cassette deck as I have it connected to my 1976 Sansui receiver, so that shouldn't be a problem. I have tried to look at the operating manual and find nothing except connection instructions. HELP!!!

Thanks for that info. I found out that I now have multiple software to record with. Audicity, Roxio, and Creative. Now I just need to practice with each to decide on one to use. By the way, could you look at my post of Feb 20 re: Different aproach to 5.1 surround?
