Computer freezes at BIOS screen

I'm having a problem with my computer (XPS 710) freezing at the initial BIOS splash screen.  I've narrowed down the problem in that it only freezes if a keyboard (USB) is plugged in when I turn the computer on.  If no keyboard is plugged in, the computer loads fine, and everything works normally if I plug in the keyboard after the bios screen goes away.  It also doesn't freeze when just the mouse is plugged in, only when the keyboard is plugged in.

I normally use a Logitech G15 keyboard, but the problem also occurs when I tried it with the default Dell keyboard that came with the computer.  I've also tried multiple USB ports, to no avail.  I've also updated the drivers for the G15, and updated my version of bios from Dell.

I had a friend of mine (who's more knowledgeable about computers than I am) try to figure it out, which he couldn't.  He spent most of his time making sure everything looked ok in the boot setup screen (which is where he kinda lost me).

There are no errors indicated in the device manager, although I did notice something that seemed wierd.  In the device manager, under "Human Interface Devices" there are two instances of "USB Human Interface Device," which say G15 keyboard in the general information window.  One of them is enabled, which makes sense, as I'm currently using the G15.  However, under the "Keyboards" heading, there are also two instances of "HID Keyboard Device." Neither of them say G15, neither of them are enabled, and I'm not able to enable either of them.  I tried uninstalling these HID Keyboard Device instances, which did not solve the problem, and when I re-booted, the two instances of HID Keyboard Devices were back.  I have no idea if this has anything to do with the problem, but it seemed to be worth mentioning.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could possibly solve this problem, I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.
