Computer tower beeps every now and then
I remember in a manual saying that the beeps that come out of your computer tower is trying to tell you something...
About every 10-20 minutes, a beep comes from the computer tower.
I've also noticed a slight increase in noise; it's a screeching one that comes from the back of the computer tower. The "bleeping" started now too long ago. and the screeching noise came from after booting the computer up. What should i do to get rid of the sound and the beeping?
EDIT: Forgot to include my specs
DELL XPS Gen 4
2gb ram
ATI Radeon x850 XT PE
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio
Direct X9c
75 refresh rate(monitor)
1905FP Dell monitor at 1280x960(32-bit)
3.60GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor

My new 9100 doesn’t beep, but the hard drive seems to activate in short bursts every 10 seconds or so, like there’s always something running. Is that normal?

My system beeps too...and freezes the screen for a second. It only happens when I am in a game (guildwars...battlefield2), so i think it's heat related.
Same specs - XPS g4...only difference is my 3.2ghz cpu and the 24in lcd.
I have a ticket in with support to see if there is a way to change the fans to kick on earlier. I'll post an update of their responce after the weekend.
