May be something else causing your hang-ups. Are you getting any specific error codes?

Is the fan running on the card?,,,,,When did the hanging start ?

what type of CPU do you have?    Newer Intel processors don't really lock up until they get extremely hot, they are actually designed to throttle down to keep from being completely destroyed in cases of extreme overheating.  But the processor would have to get pretty hot (> 70° C)  for this thermal protection mechanism to kick in.  I doubt your CPU is running that hot,  try runnin the system with the side panel off and see if that helps.

I have been running it with the side off hehe

The fan on my video board isn't moving I think that may be the problem. It seems hot.

Can I replace it ? If so how ?

It is a Creative Lab 3D Blaster Annihilator2 Geforce ultra2

I dont think so, not that I know of,,,,,,you could contact the card maker I guess.  You will probably have to replace the card. What kind is it and how old?

Which fan is not running,,,I just see another post talking about the CPU fan,,,,,I understood the Vid card fan was the one not running,,,,,,,??

Hi John,

what type of system you are talking about? is it a dimension computer? incase if your warranty on the computer is active, you can call Dell Technical Support for a replacement. Check the warranty on the computer.

Ram.
