CPU usage gets stuck at 100%
After trying to run the Disk Clean up utility it stops about half way through it and then the program freezes. After that the computer runs extremely slow because the CPU usage is at 100%. I can also hear that the fan is running at a higher speed once this happens. I have had the Disk Clean Up untility scheduled to run every other day since I bought the computer (about a year ago) and this is the first time i've had problems with it running. Any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you're a victim of the Compress Old Files registry key. Open the Registry Editor (Start | Run | type regedit) and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\VolumeCaches. Delete the Compress Old Files key and you'll be back in business.
