Dell dimension 5000
Hi, basically I've dug out a very old computer of mine... Currently on the front it has Green A B C and amber D. No beeping, and green power button. Screen going chaotic, it's black and white with letters/numbers in various places. Also amber light near coin battery. there is a lot of old photos on there that I'd like to recover so Any help would be much appreciated! It is a Dell dimension 5000

GGGA diagnostic lights usually indicates the motherboard has failed, or has issues.
Are there any 'Beeps'?
If you are only interested in recovering your photos, try removing the hard drive, then use an USB adaptor similar to This:
www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx
Followed by attaching the hard drive to an USB port on a working computer and transfer the photos to it.
