dell juke box 20 GB
I didn't use my dell juke box for two years but still working, the only thing I lost the CD to reinstall it, I went to drivers download in Dell but nothing is working, every time I connect my juke box in my computer the hardware wizard tells me to reinstall it. How do I reinstall my dell juke box in my computer?

We only made XP/2000 drivers. You can load them in Windows 7 using Compatibility Mode.

At least your memory is better than mine. I had forgotten those devices entirely. Probably doesn't help that I never owned one.

Hi,
This is all from memory, as those machine are getting old. I have an old 5GB DJ, so I understand wanting to keep it alive.
First, what OS are you using? If it is Windows XP, the Dell drivers and software work fine. If it is Windows 7 or Vista, do you have access to a WinXP machine that you could use to upgrade your firmware (assuming it is a version 1.xx right now, not a 2.xx)? The reason I ask is that the upgraded firmware and Windows Vista or Windows 7 work directly through Microsoft Media Player with nothing else to install.
If you do have access to the Win XP machine, simply load the appropriate drivers and the Dell DJ software. It is then you will be allowed to upgrade the firmware to version 2.xx - download the firmware form the Dell download site.... Be aware that upgrading the firmware WILL delete your files, so you may want to transfer them to the computer first. Once the upgrade is complete, you can simply replace the backed up files. Then, the DJ should work through Windows Media Player with no additional software.....
If that seems like too much trouble, I seem to recall that using Rhapsody software allowed people who use Windows Vista to transfer files to and from the DJ using the Rhapsody software... If it worked for Vista, I see no reason why i wouldn't work for Windows 7. It seems the easiest thing to try. Note that the Rhapsody software does require a free subscription to download, but there is no cost from Rhapsody just for the software.
