DELL ON SUPPORT

I thought there used to be a way to talk to a dell technician on the internet. Is that still possible or has that been removed?

If you have Dell Resolution Assistant on your system, that (more or less) works. And there are techs who sometimes reply to posts here (but don't expect it on Sundays!). The Dell Support Center is supposed to do it too, but that has never done ANYTHING for me.

I have had good luck on a couple of occasions using the "E-Mail Dell" link off of my Support.Dell.Com homepage.
I got my answers fairly quickly. The first answer is usually an automated response based on some keywords in the original message, but if that doesn't do it for you a tech-support person takes over and works it out through e-mail. The results I got were entirely satisfactory to me. Hope things work out for you.
