Mini Tower, or 'Slim Tower'?

No, if the 537 is a Mini Tower, you can use most generic standard ATX power supply units, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.

Note: You require a power supply with two or more SATA power connectors.

If it's a Small Form Factor 'Slim Tower' 537, the power supply is proprietary, due to it's shape and size.

About 7+ years ago, Dell was using proprietary power supplies.  Dell's small format, and several XPS systems, use a special power supply, due to it's shape and size.

Thank you for the help, i have heard people complaining about Dell's computer using proprietary motherboard so when they upgrade their power supply, the power supply fry the motherboard. The main reason i wanted to upgrade my power supply is because my graphic card, i have a Gtx 280, with it i bought a Corsair TX 650 watt power supply, im just really worried about the power supply will not work with the computer, not the size.

Edit: Forgot to tell you, i ordered a Mini Tower not the slim one.

The Inspiron  Mini Towers, the motherboard and case has proprietary features and like all the other Dell systems, the operating system is tied to Dell's BIOS

The Inspiron Small Form Factor desktops, yes, the case, motherboard, power supply and operating system tied to Dell's BIOS.
